Electroless Nickel

We offer both a high phosphorous and low phosphorous bath.

Our high phosphorous consists of 10-12% phosphorous.  Rockwell after plating ranges from 44-48 on the C scale heat treatable to high 60s C scale.  High phosphorous is used most often because of corrosion resistance.

Our low phosphorous (Hard Nickel) consists of 1-3% phosphorous, an excellent application if the primary concern is hardness, as plated 58-62 C scale, heat treatable to 70 C.  The advantage is a hard plating with even deposition.

Two outstanding plating applications include: (1) Lubricoat (Nickel with TeflonŽ) used primarily for release difficulties on plastic injection molds;  and (2) Prowear (NickelŽ with Silicon Carbide) use for wear problems.

Excellent for the following:

  • Corrosion protection
  • Wear Resistance
  • Hardness
  • Lubricity
  • Solderability
  • Uniformity of deposit
  • Salvage

Hard Chrome

ChromeTech:   This new and highly technical application consists of chrome and many other polymers.  The advantage is a hard surface coating which registers 73 Rockwell (C scale) without plating build-up.  All chrometech applications must be liquid honed prior to plating.
TEFLO-Chrome:   This is a special process that provides greatly extended life for hard chromium and hard electroless nickel surfaces.

TEFLO-Chrome is designed for ultimate performance in high corrosion and wear applications.

TIN

An electrodeposited acid bath which is excellent for both conductivity and solderability.  Available in Bright Tin and Dull Bismuth.

Dull Bismuth Electroplate:   A chemical composition of both tin and bismuth which works well in extreme cold environments.  Excellent for the protection of corrosion, solderable and conductive.

Electropolish/Passivation

Electropolish: An electropolishing application which consists of sulfuric and phosphoric acid.  This polishing application is done only to stainless steel.
Passivation: A cleaning application which consists of nitric acid and sodium dichromate solution.   Essential for the cleaning of 300 series stainless steel.

Anodizing

Anodizing is available in: Clear, Hard, Sulfuric and also in colors (Blue, Black, Gold or by request)
