| We offer both a high
phosphorous and low phosphorous bath. Our high
phosphorous consists of 10-12% phosphorous. Rockwell after plating ranges from 44-48
on the C scale heat treatable to high 60s C scale. High phosphorous is used most
often because of corrosion resistance.
Our low phosphorous (Hard
Nickel) consists of 1-3% phosphorous, an excellent application if the primary
concern is hardness, as plated 58-62 C scale, heat treatable to 70 C. The advantage
is a hard plating with even deposition. |
Two outstanding plating
applications include: (1) Lubricoat (Nickel with
TeflonŽ) used primarily for release difficulties on plastic injection molds; and
(2) Prowear (NickelŽ with Silicon Carbide) use
for wear problems. |
